cooking workshop - thyme-1 copy1.Tuesday cookery workshops – paid help needed

Cambridge Sustainable Food (CSF) runs a free family cookery workshop every Tuesday during term-time at Arbury Community Centre, Campkin Road, CB4 2LD. These sessions are led by Sam Dyer and Alex Collis, who are both experienced chefs, backed up by a team of volunteers recruited by CSF. We are looking for someone from 3pm to 6.30pm to help coordinate the volunteers on the day, in particular engaging the younger children in various activities, while the parents cook. (You will not be responsible for recruiting volunteers and the children will always be in the same room as their parent, who will remain responsible for them.) We pay £8.25 per hour, ie £29 for the weekly session, on a freelance basis. The families come between 4pm and 6pm, which means you will have one hour to brief the volunteers each time and set out the activities, as well as half an hour at the end for clearing away and discussion. We need someone to start as soon as possible and continue until the end of the summer term. You can read more about CSF’s cookery workshops on our website. See here for more information on this job.
