SUGAR SMART is a national campaign supported by the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation and Sustain to raise public awareness about the dangers of eating too much sugar on health and wellbeing. The aim is to help organisations and individuals to reduce the amount of sugar we all consume. Anyone can pledge to become SUGAR SMART – from councils and schools to restaurants, hospitals and independent companies.
Waste Less, Save More was launched by Sainsbury’s in 2015 to help combat the growing issue of food waste. Following an innovative 12-month trial in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, Sainsbury’s has unveiled a pioneering 10-point plan, which includes a further £1 million investment to support 29 UK-wide Discovery Communities.
