Ann, Bev and Duncan went to Brighton yesterday for the fabulous Sustainable Food Cities national conference: “Putting Food at the Heart of Local Policy“, hosted by Brighton and Hove Food Partnership, who have been going for 10 years. We will put up more information about what we learned and some photos, but for the moment I’d like to say how inspiring Vic Borill’s talk was, explaining what they have achieved in those 10 years – they reach thousands of people every year and have 22 staff, with a lot of their emphasis (and funding) on healthy diets. They are definitely good at reaching the general public and not just people interested in sustainability. Wonderful stuff! And so many other cities doing good work, which we can learn from.
