Woodcraft Folk is an volunteer-led educational movement with branches around the UK; it is a registered national charity. It aims to provide a positive environment where children can develop self-confidence and grow as part of a community, in order to strengthen their awareness of society and others. The Cambridge Woodcraft Folk is made up of multiple groups run by parents, for children and young people of different ages.
Activities undertaken by the groups range from hikes and picnics to drama games and craft sessions. Through working with others in creative and encouraging environments, Woodcraft Folk hope to inspire in young people the values of cooperation, peace and understanding. The Cambridge group undertakes residential camping trips occasionally over the year, and is also active in local conservation projects. Find out more by contacting the group.
