Community Food Projects

A wide variety of community food projects take place in Cambridge and its surrounding area. These range from Growing Projects such as learning to grow your own veg, Food Waste projects which tackle the community’s surplus of food and Food Provision projects which make nutritious food available to all members of the community. Community Growing Projects

There are many opportunities in and around Cambridge to get hands-on with the production of fresh food, through volunteering at community allotments and orchards, often rewarded with the grown produce itself.

Food Provision Projects

These aim to help those for whom access to food can be challenging for a wealth of reasons, so working towards food equity across Cambridge.

Food Waste Projects

These projects help to highlight the unnecessarily large amounts of food that are thrown away regularly, and propose some innovative and enjoyable solutions to counter this problem.
