April 22 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Join Cambridge Conservation Initiative to celebrate #EarthOptimism day on 22nd April.
The day will be filled with inspiring talks by leading conservationists, popular naturalists, and celebrity figures. You will be able to find out what is happening in the Cambridgeshire countryside and in pioneering British schools, and will journey from the Amazon to Madagascar’s mangroves. Experts will explain how people are bringing critically endangered species back from the brink, restoring forests and removing waste from our oceans.
All talks will take place in the Babbage Lecture Theatre in the David Attenborough Building, Cambridge. Attendance at the talks is free but booking is required. Where sessions are sold out, there will be a first-come, first-served queuing system in place outside the Babbage Lecture Theatre on the day for any returned or unused bookings. In addition, the talks will be live-streamed in a nearby lecture theatre, and also online.

Events like this will be taking place all over the world as part of EarthOptimism 2017; you can find out more about the sister events here.
In addition to these talks the Solutions Fair, part of #EarthOptimism Cambridge, will be a dynamic, interactive series of stands, activities and events for all ages, providing information about the choices everyone can make in their lives to take positive actions for the planet.
There will be an ‘Eating Well’ section of the fair and that’s where you will find Cambridge Sustainable Food.
