Festival of Plants 2017

May 20 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Cambridge University Botanic Garden will be hosting the annual Festival of Plants on 20th May 2017.

The Botanic Garden is not just about the beauty of plants; it is an important focus for plant science research, not only in Cambridge but also around the world. Researchers investigate how plants work, how they evolved, how they are related to each other and how they can be used to address global problems as challenging as food security and climate change.

Find out more about these exciting projects at the Festival of Plants – a fun-filled, fact-finding, family day out where the Garden becomes a hive of activity; a range of events and exhibits are timetabled to run throughout the day. These include:

  • Pop-up Science Marquee
  • Free Garden Tours
  • Talking Plants (bite-size drop-in talks)
  • Ask the Gardener
  • Children’s activities
  • Plant Promenade
  • Food and Drink
  • Live Music

A downloadable schedule and list of talks will be available on the Festival of Plants 2017 webpage soon.

Normal Garden Admission applies. Admission tickets will be available in May to buy in advance from either ticket office to avoid queuing on the day.
