The UK Food Group is hiring! Are you interested in working on global food and agriculture issues?
The UK Food Group is seeking an experienced and committed Co-ordinator. The UKFG is a network of more than 40 environment, farmer and research organisations in the UK working on global food and agriculture issues. For over twenty five years, they have worked in solidarity with the networks of those most vulnerable to hunger, including social movements of small-scale farmers, herders and fishers. They support their right to be part of decision making in the global food system at all levels.
- Lead and grow a network that brings together grassroots and civil society organisations in the UK and abroad that are working towards a global food system that can achieve fairness and sustainability?
- Generate and manage funding applications to provide a sound financial footing for the Group?
- Develop research and information-based resources for diverse audiences?
Freelance, part-time for up to 12 months: They expect the Co-ordinator to be working on at least 2 or 3 days in most weeks, but with the flexibility to adapt to the intensity of work required at specific times. The post will be hosted by Compassion in World Farming, but the Coordinator could be based anywhere in the country.
