Luis Navarro, owner of Nanna Mexico, visited pupils at the Castle Camps Primary School recently to teach them all about Mexican cooking.
During the cookery workshop, Luis taught the children how to make a traditional guacamole dip with delicious, fresh ingredients. Nanna Mexico prides itself on serving up authentic and healthy Mexican food, and Luis is passionate about teaching children at a young age the importance of home cooked food. Showing children that cooking can be easy and fun will help them to ditch ready meals and junk food for a healthier alternative.
Luis has developed lesson cards for the children, giving easy step by step instructions on how to make the guacamole dip. Having provided all of the tools needed, the school itself can put their trust in Nanna Mexico, who fund the entire project.
Nanna Mexico has held 11 cookery workshops in total, but hopes to expand this project in order to reach more children across the Cambridge area.
Nanna Mexico is located at 29 Petty Cury and 33 Regent Street, so be sure to pop in to try some of their wonderful Mexican food!
