Olio launches in Cambridge

The top app for curbing food waste is coming to Cambridge, as featured in Cambridge News! Following successful launches across other UK cities, food sharing app OLIO is launching in Cambridge on Saturday 18th June at a Potluck picnic on Jesus Green. The app has twice been featured by Apple as ‘Best new app’ in the App Store and is free for users to download. The idea is to connect neighbours and local independent stores with surplus food so that food can be shared instead of ending up in the bin. You simply snap a photo of the product, and upload to OLIO. Neighbours receive alerts for nearby items and can request an item and arrange pick-up, it’s as simple as that!

For more information about the potluck picnic see their event information or head to the OLIO website.
