Cambridge Cookery School was founded in 2008 by Tine Roche (pictured left) and is run by herself and business partner Liz Young. They are a young and growing cookery school with many achievements already. In 2013 they were awarded Best Cookery School in the UK and Ireland by ”Looking to Cook” and were also shortlisted for the same title by Food & Travel magazine.
They have a team of passionate, friendly, experienced chefs that provide cookery lessons for people of all levels and ages. They run a range of courses from inspirational to instructive. Masterclasses in pasta, fish and sushi as well as instructive skill sessions such as knife lessons. They run cookery workshops for corporate events or team building days and provide chalet chef courses as well as hosting pop-up suppers. They are approved to run residential courses for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold awards. The space can also be hired out for private functions, as well as for private parties such as hen do’s and birthdays. All of the classes are hands-on, with training being provided by skilled chefs and top class cookware is provided for all of the sessions. The sessions take place in their own large, contemporary, Scandinavian style kitchen that they are very proud of. Every class ends with a communal sit down meal with wine and includes a full recipe pack. During the school holidays they also run classes for children, these do require advanced booking as they are very popular.
The doors of their current kitchen will soon be closing as they are expanding this year to open a new cookery school with a deli and bakery, details and updates of which can be found on their blog.
