Cambridge Sustainable Food is looking for a part-time freelance project worker for a year to help with 2 projects between April 2015 and March 2016. One project will be awareness-raising with Cambridge residents about sustainable food and food waste, helping to organise stalls and activities at public events such as neighbourhood community days and follow-up cookery workshops. The second project will be working with small local food businesses to encourage them to sign up to the Cambridge Sustainable Food Charter and to the Council’s commercial food waste collections (which tends to reduce food waste). The project worker will be part of a team consisting of members of the CSF committee who will lead these projects.
The job is for 1.5 days per week for 46 weeks spread over the year, days to be negotiated. The project worker will be able to work in the Cambridge Carbon Footprint office in Hooper Street, Cambridge, but the job could also suit a home worker. The fee will be £5,520 (£80 a day). Email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application pack. (Please include a contact phone number.) If you do not receive an application pack within two days of asking, please text or phone 07773 862982. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Thursday 12th March. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 18th March.
