OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAGrowing Differently Garden Team Co-manager wanted
Working Hours: 32 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday) Salary & Remuneration: £30,000 per annum (pro-rata £23,999). It is not a case of WHAT we grow but WHO we grow at Snakehall Farm. WHAT we grow are vegetables and herb plants to certified organic standards at our 18 acre farm in Reach, Cambridgeshire. We also run a professional garden maintenance service in the local community to businesses and households.
WHO we grow are our Co-workers and we’ve been growing our charity since 1989. We provide supported, structured and meaningful work experience and training sessions for up to 18 adults per day with learning difficulties, disabilities and those with varying health needs in agriculture and horticulture as well as learning responsibility within a community business.

We are looking for a Co-manager to join our co-operative management team and take overall responsibility for the day to day operations of the Garden Team. We are seeking someone who can lead on the commercial side of the Garden team and grow our social enterprise whilst also supporting our Co-workers in an informative, fun and engaging way to maintain our customer’s gardens to a very high standard.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starting individual with the right skills and experience to work with some fantastic people promoting our Equal Opportunities policy within the community. You will also be a significant part of some exciting developments at a long established and successful charity. A sense of humour, initiative and the ability to motivate others are essentials for this post.
