The Cambridge Pumpkin Festival returned in 2016 following its 2015 successes, with the aim of increasing awareness and squashing food waste by rescuing Halloween pumpkins. We had an incredible fun-filled schedule with a variety of events, from cookery workshops and fine dining, to a pop-up farmer’s market and kids’ disco, and we had an even greater variety of scrumptious pumpkin themed specials.
In 2016 we had over 2700 people getting involved with our battle on food waste, all thanks to the help of the local charities, community groups and businesses who organised events.
Cambridge Sustainable Food believes that the 2017 Pumpkin Festival can influence even more people, but to do so, we need your help!
Our 2017 Pumpkin Festival will be running between the 20th and 29th October. We are looking for groups who are passionate about reducing food waste, to help us raise awareness about the issue through pumpkin themed events in this period. Would you be interested in organising an event this year? Or perhaps you would like to create a pumpkin-themed special?
If you are interested in participating in the 2017 Pumpkin Festival please fill out our participation form. Alternatively, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org which states: the title of your event, the date, the venue (including full address and postcode), whether booking is necessary, the cost, contact information and a brief event description. Also, feel free to email with any queries!
We look forward to running another successful Cambridge Pumpkin Festival, and hope that you will be a part of it!
