Sam Dyer, of Curly Kale Café, ran free cookery workshops over a six-week period for older people living in Talbot House sheltered housing. During these workshops, basic cookery skills were taught, always with a focus on healthy and sustainable eating, quick and easy recipes, and cooking on a tight budget. The workshops were also a great chance for socialising, with everyone sitting down together at the end to eat their meal.
Similar courses may be running throughout the year and are funded by Cambridge City Council. If you would like to find out more, please contact Sam Dyer (firstname.lastname@example.org, 07732 113680).
