Cambridge Sustainable food will again be at this year’s EAT Festival main event at the Corn Exchange on the 7th May, focusing on locally produced foods of all kinds. We’ll be running a lively interactive stall aiming to encourage people to buy, cook and eat food that is good for us and good for the planet, with questionnaires, quizzes, delicious tasters, recipes to give away. People can also find out where to buy sustainable food and which local food businesses have signed up to our new Sustainable Food Pledge. This is a really big, exciting event with lots of visitors!
Volunteers are needed to help set up and run the stall for anything from 2 hours to all day if you wish. We need help from 10-5 on the day and it is a great chance for you to chat to the other stall holders too.
And if you are really keen….
Cambridge Sustainable Food will be running many events throughout the coming year and this is a great time to start planning and brainstorming some new and exciting ideas. We’re hoping to have a meeting at the beginning of May with all our volunteers to listen to your ideas for activities, what works well and how we can make a big impact.
So if you would like to come to this meeting, or be part of future events, please get in contact so we can send you details.
