Fox Den Community Allotment located at Whitehill Allotments is run by Abbey People, a vibrant community charity in the Abbey Ward of Cambridge, improving the lives and wellbeing of Abbey residents. Fruit and vegetables grown are shared amongst the volunteers, and any surplus is donated to the local Abbey Food Hub.
Join them for a spring gardening session. No gardening experience is required, they'll be doing general gardening and maintenance tasks at the community allotment, including weeding, pruning, planting, and watering plants. The no. 3 bus stops on Whitehill Road, then it's a short walk to Whitehill Allotments. The plot is a few yards through the Elfleda site gate, on the left.
Midsummer Common Community Orchard will be discussing siting a new honey bee colony and planting to support pollinators. Come along and find out more.
Please do come along if you are interested in helping to rake grass from future wildflower beds, mow, prune trees and water new plantings.

Orchard Park Community Orchard will be mulching their newly planted fruit trees and bushes, and also their newly planted hedge of 100 saplings. Bring your gardening gloves and wellies, and get stuck in! Refreshments available.
They need to clear and prepare their small garden area for Spring. The children at our Preschool have decided to grow potatoes, strawberries, tomatoes and beans this year. They would love help clearing leaves, painting our fence, putting up our bean trellis and preparing the compost. Please email Sarah at hauxtonpreschool@yahoo.co.uk to get involved!
Tzu Chi UK community garden volunteers are inviting you to join them at Arbury Court to plant seeds for the upcoming season.
Get creative by using DIY materials like egg carton boxes and making paper pots as easy seed starters and join Hilary Cox Condron to share favorite recipies and create artwork for the Cambridge Sustainable Food Arbury Cookbook.
The Arbury Court garden has been turned into a community space for growing a variety of flowers and edible plants by volunteers from Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation UK, enabling a green, inviting space where the community of all ages can come together and share in the joy of gardening and friendship.
Sweetpea Market Garden are hosting a weed 'dating’ evening at the farm. this event is for everyone whether looking for a match or not.
A chance to come see the farm, get your hands in the soil, meet new people and have a chat! Some gloves and tools provided but do bring your own if you have them. Wine, soft drinks and nibbles provided and there will be alad and seedlings available to buy. Drop ins welcome, hit attending on the facebook event or send Sweetpea a message via social media.

Darwin Nurseries is a a therapeutic horticulture and animal care project funded by the NHS. They have 7.5acres where they grow fruit veg and plants for sale in the Farm Shop and Plant Nursery, working together with adults with learning disabilities to promote independence.
There is limited parking so where possible please come by bus (No.11 or No.12) or bicycle. Or you can park at Newmarket Rd Park and Ride and walk down to us a nice 10mins walk.
Join us at Natwest Bank in Petty Cury as we reimagine community growing spaces and plant tomato seeds which will be grown on the window ledges of the bank. Open to all... we will be planting, making paper pots, decorating labels and sharing tomato tips and recipes. There will be plenty of seeds to plant and take home too).

1pm - 4pm: Gardening pop up! Lots of green fingered activities and food growing advice. Quick, easy and budget friendly cookery demonstration at 3pm with Luthfa Khan followed by afternoon refreshments.
