About

The first of its kind, The Cambridge Food Hub is an innovative food distribution system for the Cambridge area, aiming to increase the accessibility of sustainable food whilst supporting local producers and small businesses.

Why We Like Them

With a focus on local, sustainable and accessible food systems, Cambridge Food Hub embodies everything that we here at Cambridge Sustainable Food love. It aims to reduce food miles and emissions through sustainable distribution, make healthy, sustainable and locally produced food accessible to everyone in Cambridge through their Good Food for All scheme, and they provide support for start-ups and small businesses. The Hub aims to provide local, educational resources regarding sustainability and nutrition.

Collaboration with them

As part of their goal to make good quality and locally produced food accessible to all, the Cambridge Food Hub runs a Healthy Start Veg Box scheme. Ran in partnership with Cambridge Sustainable Food and the Cambridge Food Poverty Alliance, the scheme provides families receiving Healthy Start vouchers high quality and organic fruit and veg from Cambridge Organic, in exchange for £2 plus a Healthy Start voucher each week.

If you would like to find out more about this scheme and sign up, please contact Cambridge Food Hub on info@cambridgefoodhub.org, 01223 873300.
